For smoother, glowing skin

Dermaplaning is a skin treatment that leaves your complexion soft, smooth, and glowing. Using a fine surgical scalpel, we remove dirt, dead skin cells, and vellus hairs (or ‘peach fuzz’) from the surface of your skin. Dermaplaning helps your makeup to glide smoothly on, increases the absorption of topical moisturisers and serums, and leaves your skin soft and supple. It is suitable for any skin type, any age, and any skin tone. There is no downtime with this simple yet effective treatment, so you may return to work and your daily life without side effects or downtime.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a treatment that uses a surgical scalpel. We very carefully use this scalpel to remove dead skin cells, dirt and debris, and ‘peach fuzz’ vellus hairs from the surface of the skin. This treatment is non-invasive and is perfect by itself or before a chemical peel.

What does this treatment achieve?
By removing debris from the surface of the skin, Dermaplaning helps to open your pores and remove dead skin cells that may be blocking fresh and youthful skin cells from coming to the surface. It smooths the skin by removing thin fuzzy hairs on the cheeks and jaw and provides a fresh-faced glow.

Are there any side effects?
None at all! Because this treatment is non-invasive and focusses on the surface of the skin, there should be no side effects or downtime to this treatment. This makes it perfect for before an event, as a skin detox, or a boost to your complexion without any knowing you’d received treatment that day.

More Information

Who is suitable for Dermaplaning?
This treatment is suitable for all skin types, all ages, and all skin tones. Those experiencing an acne outbreak may wish to wait until their breakout calms down, as the scalpel could nick a spot which may take longer to heal.

Is there any aftercare?
Its recommended you wear sun protection for the rest of the day after your treatment, because your skin may be sensitive to the sun. It’s also recommended to take a break from using retinol products and glycolic acid skincare products for 48 hours as they could irritate your newly exfoliated skin. Try using a hydrating or growth factor serum instead to boost your skin’s glow.

Will my hair grow back thicker and darker?
No, your vellus hair will not grow back thicker or darker. This treatment doesn’t change your hairs’ natural growth cycle, and its thickness and darkness are determined by genetics, so you should not notice thicker or darker hair growing back.
