Emma

Client Manager

Emma joined Pro Aesthetics as Client Manager in September 2022. From her very first job, administration and client focus have always played a strong part in her career. Previous roles include positions at Nottingham’s Queens Medical Centre in the Diagnostic Imaging Department in a high paced and pressurised environment and then later at a market leading cost-reduction company in Hertfordshire. Her most recent position was at Spire Private Hospital where she worked on a busy surgical ward. In every role that Emma has held she strongly believes that attention to detail is a minimum requirement and she prides herself on her organisational and accuracy skills.

Emma has enjoyed travelling over the years and has been fortunate enough to visit many destinations, such as Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Canada and the Maldives (to name a few) making memories and experiences that have stayed with her for a lifetime.

Emma is very family orientated and outside of work is married with 3 children. On the odd occasion she gets any free time, she likes to spend it either being pampered or putting her feet up with a good book. Although Emma favours the warmth of her home as 1st choice she is also very fond of nice restaurants and maybe a glass of wine or 2!!

Helen

Helen started working at Boots Head Office as an office junior, straight from school.  She had many roles there throughout the years and was a systems trainer when made redundant in 2004.  Her husband was also made redundant within weeks, so they set up their own Business Consultancy, where she has since worked with various companies.  Due to her interest in Forensic Science, she went to college for 2 years to study it full time and then on to university where she obtained both a degree in Law with Criminology and a Masters in Criminal Justice and Human Rights.

She is Mum to one grown up daughter and 8 cats.  Her passion is Formula One – both watching on TV and going to races, cruising holidays and dancing (ballroom and Latin).  She is also a bit of a dare devil, having completed a tandem skydive from 13,500 feet and wing walked, despite a fear of heights!

Miss Carmen Gan

Undergraduate Medical Degree

GMC: 6056238

Miss Carmen Gan obtained her Undergraduate Medical Degree from the University of Sheffield. Following that, she completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology within the East Midlands Deanery in 2014. She was keen to pursue a career in Gynaecological Oncology and hence worked with the Gynae Cancer Team at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, where she gained research experience prior to re-joining the Gynaecological Cancer Team here in Nottingham. She successfully completed her subspecialty training in Gynaecological Oncology in 2019 and secured a job at Nottingham University Hospitals as a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist. She has also run the family history clinic at City Hospital since becoming a Consultant.

It was since becoming a Consultant she realised the importance of treating women not just for their cancer but the menopausal symptoms which ensued. This acknowledgement led to her special interest in this arena and women’s health in general.

Although climateric symptoms are most commonly associated with women going through menopause, they can affect women at any age. The physical, psychological and emotional aspects can be debilitating. It is for these reasons that Miss Gan understands the importance of providing evidenced and personalised care to support women through this period.

Miss Gan is a member of the British Menopause Society. She takes a holistic and patient centred approach to menopause care. Treatment options vary from woman to woman. Management of symptoms are available in different forms including topical, patches, gel and tablets. These options are discussed in detail to empower women to make informed and educated choices. Personalised risks and benefits of treatment options will also be explored. Miss Gan firmly believes in good communication when treating issues relating to the menopause.

Menopause has a potential negative impact on all urogenital tissue including the vulva and vagina. It is therefore important to provide individualised care and examinations based on symptoms.

If you are seeking professional guidance and support in the menopausal transition, Miss Gan will be here to guide you on this matter.
